Teach Boys And Girls Success Summer Camp and Out of School Program Teach Boys And Girls Success, Inc. (TBAGS) Organization and History: Teach Boys And Girls Success, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization that teaches youth to develop their skills, talents and interest to a level of measureable success with an entrepreneurial emphasis and focus on family involvement. Teach Boys And Girls Success, Inc. was founded in 2006 and models the T-Bags business started with four at-risk teenage sisters. Their story begins with a single mother who overcame alcohol addiction and hand crafted her way off of the welfare system. Utilizing each one of the girl’s talents to keep them busy, interested, out of trouble, drug free and active in growing the business their mother realized if they were focused on what they like to do they would excel and succeed in life. Together the girls ultimately became experienced in every area of business, socially and mentally developed; active in the community; and founded the organization Teach Boys And Girls Success, Inc. (TBAGS, Inc.) The mission of TBAGS, Inc. is to empower at-risk and underprivileged youth by utilizing and developing their skills, talents and interest while increasing their self-worth, education, self-esteem, skills and artistic abilities. TBAGS accomplishes its goal by using creative tools, activities and incentives to motivate, educate and teach youth to make wise decisions. The TBAGS camp educates youth on drugs, alcohol and relapse prevention, addresses crime prevention/gang influence, dropping out of school and teenage pregnancy while creatively teaching them to redirect their focus on utilizing their skills, talents and abilities. TBAGS has developed an alumni base to maintain relationships with the participants after completion of the program. The alumni will help in the progress and success of new comers to the camp and after-school program. *. Funding sources are sought through corporations, grants, businesses, sponsors, donations, in-kind services, private donors and other organizations. * TBAGS seeks private funding to support the many smaller project.
